Day 1: Arrive in Beijing (D) |

Your exciting China tour begins today as you landing at Beijing, the capital of China which is a city of amazing contrasts - an ancient capital with some incredible historical sites and a bustling modern metropolis where the 2008 Olympics has been hosted successfully. Upon arrival, our professional English-speaking tour guide will welcome you at airport and transfer to check in your hotel.
After dinner, you will be free for your own leisure to get the first impression of Beijing from your own angle of view. Accommodation: Days Inn Hotel Beijing (3-star class, center of downtown location, close to Tiananmen Square)

Day 2: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City (B, L, D) |
|
After breakfast at your hotel, start your tour with the visit to Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world. Then move on to the Forbidden City, the Chinese imperial palace from the mid-Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. Then head to the Temple of Heaven, the place where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for peace and harvest. After lunch at Daijiacun Restaurant, visit the Summer Palace, originally a royal garden and a temporary dwelling palace for emperors of Qing Dynasty. After Beijing Duck dinner at Century Huangshan Restaurant, enjoy the Kung Fu Show in the evening. Back to your hotel. |

Day 3: The Great Wall (B, L, D) |
|
Morning excursion to the most beautiful section of the Great Wall - the Mutianyu Great Wall. The hike takes about 2-3 hours. After lunch at Xin Shuang Quan Eco Restaurant, continue to visit Changling, one of the 13 Ming Tombs the 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty ( 1368 - 1644). Back to the downtown Beijing. Yummy Chinese dinner at Wahaha Restaurant. Back to your hotel. |

Day 4: Shichahai Area - Depart Beijing (B, L) |
|
After breakfast, start your morning tour with your exploration of the Shichahai Area - the old part of Beijing. First you have a hard-to-get-opportunity of one-hour tour of a 300-year old courtyard. With the help of your English speaking tour guide, the housekeeper of the yard gives you a detailed explanation of the old courtyard ( Siheyuan ) - its history, its layout, its Fengshui, and its traditiona Chinese culture involved. Then take a pedcab and drive through the zigzag and narrow alleys or hutongs. Two people share one rickshaw. Drop off the peidicab at the Silver Ingot Bridge( Yinding Bridge ) and walk along the 800-year old Yandai Xiejie ( Tobacco Pipe Lean Street ), and get to the Drum Torwer. Ascending the 67-meter high and two-story Drum Tower dating from 1420 is sure to bring you back to the old Beijing by seeing the big drum tower and having bird's eye view of the surrounding communities of hutongs and siheyuan - existing traditional courtyards in Beijing. Then Head to the Olympic Green to have an outside look at the Bird's Nest and Water Cube. After lunch at Yihechuntian Restaurant, transfer to airport, your exciting China tour ends today as boarding your departure flight for sweet home. |
